Sync Desktop, Documents and Pictures folders to OneDrive

Help people to gain confidence in working with files in Microsoft 365 by beginning with OneDrive. Synchronise files from their most commonly used local folders - Desktop, Documents and Pictures.

Many people still save content locally to their Desktop and Documents folders because it's convenient and familiar. They can open up Files Explorer and work with the files the same way they always have. When OneDrive is signed using and Microsoft 365 account, Desktop, Documents and Pictures folders can be kept in sync in OneDrive using it's backup settings.

Introduce them to the OneDrive icon in the Folder list of Files Explorer and describe it as their new Home drive. Then show them that they can access the same folders and files in a web browser and even on their mobile. This is the first step to building confidence and familiarity of working with files in the Cloud, in Microsoft 365.
